This SK .22 ammo is TREMENDOUS stuff - possibly match grade? It is heavily lubed, and feeds like a dream. I've gone through over 200 rounds now and consistently been shooting 1/2" to 3/4" groupings (4 shots) at 25 yards with it, running it through a bolt action Remington 513 with 27" barrel and an old Redfield aperture sight. If my decidedly middle aged eyes can make this ammo sing, imagine what it could do in the hands of a younger more capable shooter. Packaging is bulk in a poly lined can with a pull top and plastic lid - similar to how tennis balls used (?) to be. Assuming the bulk contents are subject to jostling in transit, the bullet seating doesn't appear to suffer. I also purchased some of the same product in boxes from SGA to see if it shoots even better, but haven't gotten to it yet. Bottom Line: Get you some now while it's still available!
This is without a doubt the best 22 rimfire I have ever shot in my 50 years of shooting. Accurate. ...clean burn powder....only down side it it is coated with a lube ....but I roll it just a little in a t shirt rag to remove the excess. American 22 use a wax lube that gums up a gun after many rounds. This SK .uses a kind of spray lube might be silicone not sure. BOTTOM LINE ....this is good stuff
This is very consistent subsonic ammunition. I did a head to comparison between this brand, Aquila SuperExtra copper plated 40 grain slug and Winchester Super X Super Speed Round Nose Copper Plated 40 grain slug. I used a Ruger 10/22 which I have converted to a target rifle. I fired three round groups repeatedly for each ammo from a sand bag rest at 15, 25 and 50 yards. The Auquila and Magazine SK were dead even. At 15 and 25 yards both consistently provided overlapping holes three round groups. At 50 yards both produced very tight sub one inch groups. The Winchester Super X just didn't compete at any of these ranges. At 15 & 25 yards the Super X never produced less than a three inch group. At fifty yards the groups were four to five inches despite this being the hoighest muzzle velocity (1300 FPS advertised). Over a hundred rounds the Magazine SK produced two failures - either a failer to extract or a failure to eject I couldn't tell which. The other two ammunitions had no failures in one hundred rounds. In fact I have fired over two thousand rounds of the Aquila and over five hundred rounds of the Super X through the 10/22, my Browning Buckmark and my S&W Victory without a single failure of any kind in any of these three weapons. This Magazine SK produced four failures when I fired a hundred rounds of it through my Buckmark just for fun after doing the test with my 10/22. DO be aware that this ammunition comes heavily lubricated. All rounds are coated with something that looks like petroleum jelly which apparently has finely powdered graphite suspended in the petroleum jelly. Bear in mind that I am describing what this coating looks like. I do not have the means to find out what is really in this stuff all over the rounds. I wipe it off before loading it into magazines. So the bottom line is that this product is reasonably reliable and very consistent albeit a little on the expensive side.
I buy it coated in a oil for lube unlike american 22 lr ammo that uses wax I like it
