These shells use the European style roll crimp that makes a slightly longer case length before firing

OO buckshot shot shells. Manufactured in the Czech Republic since 1825, Sellier and Bellot produces an excellent law enforcement grade buckshot load. The Shell features 12 pellets of OO buckshot and a clear hull so you can see the load. Shells are max load, so do not expect low recoil. My gun show customers have told me this stuff shoots great and we have sold it for years.

I do not know how to add photos to this review, so I'll type in the info that I've learned. There is some concern about these shells being longer due to S&B using the "European crimp" method, also known as "rolled crimp" to close the shell's end vs. the American or "standard" crimp that most people are used to seeing. I put a micrometer on several different "standard" crimped shells and compared them to the S&B rounds. Here are the results: Overall, un-fired shell length of these was consistently 2.50" vs other listed 2 3/4" shells by various manufacturers ranging from 2.25" - 2.29" The bottom line - if you have a shotgun chambered specifically for 2 3/4" shells, you might have cycling issues with these slightly larger rounds. I have not seen nor heard of any cycling issues in 3" chambered shotguns. I'm not a professional, so take this info for what you think it's worth.
Great shotgun shell and was happy with the performance I got out of it. I didn't have any issues out of it ejecting out of my old gun and I'm looking forward to getting more.
